CARIA. Uncertain. Circa 450-400 BC. Obol (?) (Silver, 8 mm, 0.75 g, 11 h). Forepart of a roaring lion to left. Rev. Facing head of a lion (or lioness) within incuse square. HN online -, cf. 72 (lion to right). Hurter, Lions, Group II, 19 and pl. 8, 19 (this coin). SNG Kayhan -, cf. 983-4 (lion to right). Very rare. Nicely toned. The obverse a bit weak and with a minor die break on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
